My teaching room is based in South Croydon close to public transport and within easy reach of Selsdon, Sanderstead and Warlingham.
The Alexander Technique involves touch which is non-invasive. I will place my hands on my pupil’s head, neck, back, shoulders, feet and knees. My hands are there to simply guide my pupil through a range of movement giving them the unique opportunity to learn to let go of unconscious unhelpful habits which invariably occur as a reaction to the stimulus of everyday life.
Lessons are given on an individual basis and will take 45 minutes apart from the first introductory lesson which will last no longer than an hour.
I suggest that my pupils wear loose comfortable clothing and that ladies wear trousers for maximum comfort.
A lesson will involve movement on the part of my pupil who will usually be required to sit and stand. Part of the lesson will also involve lying on my teaching table whilst being worked on by myself.
